On the 5th of June 2026, my wife Leanne and I began what will be the next 14 weeks of one of the busiest times of our year here in the Snowy Mountains.
Between us, we manage two motels with a combined total of 84 rooms during the peak ski season. While many people are planning their holidays and looking forward to the snow, for us it marks the beginning of long days, late nights, constant phone calls, guest requests, staff management, maintenance issues, and the pressure that comes with operating accommodation businesses seven days a week.
At 73 years of age, I have come to realise something important.
Working harder is not the answer.
Working smarter is.
For many years I have worked in businesses that demanded my physical presence. If something needed doing, I had to be there. If there was a problem, I had to solve it. While I have enjoyed building businesses throughout my life, there comes a point where you begin looking for a better way.
That is one of the main reasons I have become serious about building my The ClickBank Profit Club business.
I am not looking for a magic button or overnight riches. What I am looking for is a business model that allows me to build an asset that can continue working whether I am standing behind a reception desk, checking rooms, or enjoying time with my family.
That asset is my email list.
Over the last few weeks, blogging has become one of my favourite methods of generating leads and attracting new prospects.

The ski season will eventually come to an end.
The question I ask myself is this:
Will I be in exactly the same position next year, or will I have built something that gives me more freedom and more choices?
That is why I continue to blog.
That is why I continue to build my email list.
