My New Spring Online Business Routine: How I’ll Use My Extra Time Each Week

My New Spring Online Business Routine: How I’ll Use My Extra Time Each Week

Over my last few articles, I’ve been talking about a change that’s beginning to take place in both my working life and my online business.

The busy winter season here in the Snowy Mountains is coming to an end.

For the past few months, my wife Leanne and I have been heavily involved in running the two motels we manage. During winter, there’s always something that needs doing—guests, staff, bookings, rooms, maintenance and all the unexpected little problems that come with hospitality.

I’ve continued building my online business throughout that period, but I’ve had to fit it into whatever spare time I could find.

Now that’s about to change.

As we move into spring and begin winding down the motels, I’m going to have something I’ve been looking forward to for months:

More time to concentrate on building my online business.

But having more time doesn’t automatically mean I’ll achieve more.

I need to use that time wisely.

So I’ve started thinking about what my new spring online business routine should look like.

And rather than trying to do everything every day, I want to divide my week between the areas that matter most.

First, I’m Still Building ONE Business

Before I explain my routine, I want to reinforce something I’ve mentioned in my previous articles.

I’m involved with ClickBank Profit Club, MAP and MUAi, but I’m not trying to build three completely separate businesses.

That would probably leave me more overwhelmed than ever!

Instead, I’m looking at how each can contribute to one online business.

ClickBank Profit Club is helping me with affiliate marketing, list building and follow-up.

MAP is giving me training, experience and the foundation skills that I’ve been searching for over several years.

MUAi is now adding AI-powered tools, training and new opportunities as its individual pillars continue to roll out.

Then I have my blog, my email list and the traffic I generate.

These aren’t separate projects.

They’re different parts of the same machine.

My challenge this spring is to get that machine running more efficiently.

Monday: Learning and Planning

I’ve learned something important over the years.

If I start the week without knowing what I want to achieve, it’s very easy to spend hours online and finish the day wondering what I actually accomplished.

So Monday will be about planning and learning.

I’ll look at what’s happening inside ClickBank Profit Club, MAP and MUAi.

With MUAi in particular, I want to keep learning about the tools as they become available through the different pillars.

But there’s an important rule I’m going to try to follow.

I don’t want to spend all my time learning and none of my time doing.

That’s an easy trap to fall into online.

You watch another training video.

Then another.

Then another.

Before you know it, you’ve spent the entire day learning but haven’t actually built anything.

My Monday goal will be to identify what I’ve learned and then ask:

“How can I put this into action this week?”

Tuesday: Blogging and Content Creation

Tuesday will be one of my main content days.

My blog is becoming an important part of the business I’m building because it allows me to share my journey rather than simply promote products.

I can talk about what’s working.

I can explain what I’m learning.

I can share mistakes.

I can introduce tools and opportunities.

And hopefully, I can help people who are going through the same journey.

The article you’re reading now is part of that strategy.

My aim is to continue creating useful articles around affiliate marketing, email list building, traffic, ClickBank Profit Club, MAP, MUAi and my own experiences building an online business as I move towards retirement.

This is also where I expect MUAi’s AI capabilities to become increasingly valuable.

I can use AI to help organise my ideas, develop headlines, improve structure and turn my experiences into useful content much faster.

My experience provides the story. AI helps me communicate it.

Wednesday: Email Marketing and My Subscriber List

Wednesday will be about one of the assets I consider most important:

My email list.

I’ve written before about why I’m building a subscriber list even when it doesn’t produce an immediate sale.

The reason is simple.

I’m trying to build relationships rather than constantly chase transactions.

If someone discovers one of my articles today, joins my list and doesn’t purchase anything, that’s fine.

They might continue reading my emails.

They might learn something from me.

They might begin trusting my recommendations.

And six months from now, I might introduce them to something that’s exactly what they’ve been looking for.

That’s why I don’t want every email to be a sales pitch.

Some emails can teach.

Some can tell a story.

Some can point readers towards a new blog article.

And some can promote an opportunity.

Wednesday will give me dedicated time to think about what I’m sending and why I’m sending it.

Thursday: Traffic Generation

You can create the best website, write brilliant emails and find great affiliate products…

But none of it matters if nobody sees them.

That’s why Thursday will focus on traffic.

I’ll continue experimenting with both free and paid traffic methods.

That could include promoting my blog content, using email advertising, testing paid traffic sources and finding ways to attract people who are genuinely interested in building an online income.

One thing I’ve learned is that traffic shouldn’t simply mean:

“Get as many clicks as possible.”

I want the right people clicking.

I’d rather have 100 visitors who are genuinely interested in affiliate marketing, AI and building an online business than 1,000 people who have no interest whatsoever.

And whenever possible, I want those visitors to have an opportunity to join my email list.

That way, one click doesn’t have to be the end of the relationship.

Friday: MUAi and Putting AI to Work

I’m particularly looking forward to Fridays.

I’m going to make this my AI implementation day.

As more MUAi pillars and tools are released, I want dedicated time to experiment with them.

Not simply watch demonstrations.

Actually use them.

Can a tool help me produce content faster?

Can it improve an email?

Can it help me research an audience?

Can it give me ideas for an advertising campaign?

Can it help with social media?

Can it save me an hour doing something manually?

Can it help me organise part of my business?

If I discover something useful, I’ll incorporate it into my regular routine.

If something doesn’t suit what I’m doing, I don’t need to force myself to use it just because it’s available.

That’s another lesson I’ve learned.

You don’t need every tool. You need the right tools.

And as MUAi continues releasing more of its ecosystem, I expect this part of my weekly routine to evolve considerably.

The Weekend: Review, Catch Up and Live My Life

This might actually be the most important part of the plan.

I don’t want to leave one demanding job only to create another one for myself.

The whole reason I’m building an online business is to create more freedom, not less.

So the weekend doesn’t need to become another two full working days.

I can check results.

Look at my traffic.

Check new subscribers.

See which emails were opened.

Look at what content received attention.

Catch up on something I didn’t finish during the week.

And then step away.

Because if building an online business eventually gives me the freedom I’m looking for, I need to learn to enjoy that freedom as well.

I’m Not Going to Watch the Clock

Although I’ve described different days for different activities, I don’t intend this to become a rigid timetable.

I’m not going to say:

9:00am — ClickBank Profit Club.

10:00am — MUAi.

11:00am — Write an email.

That’s too restrictive for me.

Some days I’ll feel like writing.

Other days I might become absorbed in learning a new AI tool.

Sometimes I’ll discover a traffic campaign that needs more attention.

The purpose of my weekly routine isn’t to control every hour.

It’s to make sure the important things keep moving forward.

That’s a big difference.

What I Want to Achieve Each Week

Rather than measuring success by the number of hours I sit in front of my computer, I want to measure it by what I’ve actually accomplished.

At the end of a productive week, I’d like to be able to say:

I learned something useful.

I created new content.

I contacted my subscribers.

I generated traffic.

I experimented with an AI tool.

I moved my business forward.

Maybe I gained some new subscribers.

Maybe I even made some commissions.

Not every week will produce spectacular results.

But if I can keep repeating those actions week after week, imagine where the business could be six months or twelve months from now.

That’s the power of consistency.

AI Should Give Me More Time, Not More Work

This is also why I’m so interested in MUAi.

I don’t want AI to simply give me another collection of things I need to learn.

I want AI to eventually reduce the amount of time certain jobs take me.

If something currently takes me three hours and AI can help me accomplish it properly in one hour, I’ve gained two hours.

I can use those two hours to generate traffic.

Write another article.

Contact my subscribers.

Learn something new.

Or simply close the laptop and enjoy the afternoon.

That’s the kind of productivity I’m interested in.

Moving Away From Physical Work Towards Digital Work

There’s also a bigger reason behind all of this.

At 73, I’m thinking seriously about how I want the next stage of my working life to look.

I’ve spent many years in businesses that require you to physically be there.

Hospitality is certainly one of them.

If a guest has a problem, somebody needs to deal with it.

If something breaks, somebody needs to fix it.

If rooms need preparing, they need to be prepared.

An online business is different.

I can work from my laptop.

I can write an email in the morning and have it reach hundreds of people.

I can publish an article and have someone discover it months later.

I can build an automated follow-up sequence that continues communicating when I’m doing something else.

And now AI can potentially help me perform many of those jobs faster.

That’s the transition I’m working towards.

Not retirement where I suddenly stop doing everything.

But a different way of working.

Spring Feels Like a New Beginning

For most people, spring means warmer weather, longer days and everything beginning to grow again.

For me this year, it feels like something more.

It represents an opportunity to give my online business the attention I’ve wanted to give it throughout our busy winter.

I’ve spent months fitting the business around the motels.

Now I can begin turning that around.

I can give the online business more time.

I can learn the MUAi tools as they’re released.

I can continue building with ClickBank Profit Club and MAP.

I can create more content.

I can communicate more consistently with my subscribers.

And I can spend more time generating traffic.

I’m not expecting everything to suddenly happen overnight.

I’m building this one week at a time.

Learn.

Create.

Communicate.

Generate traffic.

Use AI.

Review.

Then do it again.

Because my goal isn’t simply to have another busy spring.

My goal is to use this spring to move another step closer to having an online business that can eventually give me the freedom to leave the physical workload of hospitality behind.

And I’m looking forward to seeing just how far I can take it.

To Your Success,
Graham Hill
