Building My ClickBank Profit Club Business During Our Busiest Time of Year

Building My ClickBank Profit Club Business During Our Busiest Time of Year

One thing I’ve learned about building an online business is that there will probably never be a “perfect time” to do it.

There will always be work to do, commitments to meet, problems to solve, and unexpected things that demand your attention.

Right now, I’m experiencing exactly that.

Here in the Snowy Mountains, the ski season is in full swing, which means Leanne and I are right in the middle of the busiest part of our year managing our two motels.

And when I say busy, I mean extremely busy.

But despite everything happening around us, I’m still making time every day to continue building and promoting my ClickBank Profit Club business.

Ski Season Means All Hands on Deck

During winter, our normal workload changes dramatically.

Visitors arrive for their skiing holidays, rooms are constantly turning over, booking schedules need to be watched closely, and guests naturally have questions and requests that need attention.

Leanne and I have to stay on top of everything.

There are check-ins and check-outs.

Booking changes.

Guest enquiries.

Cleaning schedules.

We need to make sure our cleaning staff know which rooms have to be prepared and when they need to be ready.

Then there are all the little maintenance problems that inevitably appear when you’re running accommodation properties.

A light stops working.

Something needs repairing.

A guest has a problem with their room.

Heating needs attention.

Something breaks at exactly the wrong time.

That’s simply part of running motels, particularly during our busiest season.

Some days it can feel as though you’ve solved one problem only for another one to appear five minutes later.

So Where Does My Online Business Fit In?

This is where I’ve had to become disciplined.

It would be very easy for me to say:

“I’m too busy. I’ll get back to my online business when ski season finishes.”

But I’ve learned that there’s always going to be a reason to put something off.

Instead, I’m doing something much simpler.

I’m putting time into my ClickBank Profit Club business every day.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be hours.

Some days I have more time than others.

What matters to me is maintaining the momentum.

I might work on another blog post like this one.

I might prepare an email for my subscribers.

I might look at another traffic source.

I might promote my ClickBank Profit Club link.

I might review what I’ve already done and decide what needs improving next.

The important thing is that I keep moving forward.

Small Daily Actions Add Up

I think this is particularly important for anyone who wants to start an online business but believes they don’t have enough time.

You don’t necessarily need eight uninterrupted hours every day.

Most people don’t have that luxury.

You might have a full-time job.

You might be raising a family.

You might be approaching retirement while still working.

You might have other business commitments.

Your circumstances will be different from mine, but the principle is the same.

Use the time you have available and do something productive with it.

Thirty focused minutes can be far more valuable than spending three hours jumping between different opportunities without accomplishing anything.

That’s something I’m continually reminding myself of during this ski season.

Why I’m Continuing With ClickBank Profit Club

The reason I’m committed to continuing is that I’m not looking at this as something I’m doing just for today.

I’m trying to build something for the future.

One of the things that attracted me to ClickBank Profit Club was the focus on building an email list while learning affiliate marketing.

Every subscriber I add becomes part of an audience I can continue communicating with.

Every blog article I publish becomes another piece of content that can potentially be found later.

Every email I send helps me build a relationship with the people on my list.

Every traffic campaign teaches me something.

That means today’s work can potentially continue providing value long after I’ve completed it.

That’s very different from much of the work involved in running our motels.

If something breaks today, I fix it today.

Tomorrow there will probably be something else.

With an online business, I’m gradually trying to build assets that can keep working for me.

I’m Building This One Day at a Time

I’m certainly not pretending everything happens overnight.

It doesn’t.

There are things I’m still learning, strategies I’m testing, and areas where I want to improve.

But I’m continuing.

Even during one of the busiest periods of our year, I’m finding time to keep building.

For me, that’s what playing the long game is all about.

You don’t have to accomplish everything today.

You just need to make sure you’re still heading in the right direction.

If you’ve been thinking about starting an affiliate marketing business but keep telling yourself you’re too busy perhaps, don’t wait for life to suddenly become quiet.

Start with the time you have.

Learn something.

Write an email.

Create some content.

Build your list.

Generate some traffic.

Then come back tomorrow and do a little more.

That’s exactly what I’m doing.

Our ski season might be in full swing and Leanne and I might be busier than ever managing our motels, but I’m still committed to building my online business.

One day, one subscriber, one email and one step at a time.

To Your Success,

Graham Hill
